GAMOA Membership Meeting beginning at 4:00 pm in Salons EF.

COAM Industry Social will be in Hospitality Suites 217 & 223 immediately following the meeting. 

Why should you attend??

Despite having the highest tax rate of any industry in Georgia, the Georgia legislature is studying and evaluating whether to remove or retain the present sales tax exemption relating to the COAM industry. The Georgia Supreme Court recently reviewed this exemption, unanimously upholding the interpretation of the exemption by the tax tribunal hearing officer, which had previously been reversed by the Fulton Superior Court and the Georgia Court of Appeals.

GAMOA has led the fight to retain the exemption in the upcoming legislative session. Your involvement in this effort is crucial. This issue will be discussed at the membership meeting on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. Find out how you can be part of the solution to stop any effort to repeal this COAM sales tax exemption, which requires the master license, location license, machine sticker fees, and the 13% gross receipt tax on generated revenue.
